Our 4,462 square miles are mostly public lands
and contain the worlds best slot canyons, slick rock deserts, and alpine mountains! We border Arches and
Canyonlands National Parks, and we are also home to parts of Capitol Reef National Park! We have many State Parks
with red rock sandstone goblins, world famous slot canyons, and two golf courses!

traffic control and medical support for local athletic events including; Mecca's Mt. Bike Festivals,
The Crandall Canyon Memorial Half
Marathon, and The San Rafael Classic Triathlon!
The San Rafael Classic Triathlon is an annual
event that was organized by the Emery County Search & Rescue. With the volunteer help of professional athletes
and our exceptional corporate sponsors, this event is already growing into one of Utah's premier athletic events!
